Imposter Alert!

The Alabama Board of Nursing received information that the following individuals have represented themselves as having a nursing license in Alabama  Based on the evidence presented, and a review of the licensing records, the individuals ARE NOT LICENSED IN ALABAMA and are posing as either registered nurses or licensed practical nurses.

Each time the Board receives evidence that an individual is posing as a licensed nurse, with no record of licensure, a CEASE AND DESIST letter is sent to the individual with a copy to the local district attorney.   A current license is required as a prerequisite to identifying or holding oneself out as a licensed nurse, holding a position for which a license is required, or performing any of the duties of a licensed nurse.

Health care agencies or organizations that receive an employment application for a licensed position from an individual who is not licensed is asked to send a copy of the application to the Board so that the CEASE AND DESIST letter can be sent and the information about the individual posted on this web site.   Fax any applications from imposters to the attention of Leslie Vinson, Executive Secretary, 334-242-4360

The information on this web site will be updated as needed.  Each licensed nurse is required to have a license wallet card available for employer, or potential employer, inspection.
